Andrew Steele took over the senior pastor’s role from Peter Frogley in early 2021, with a clear vision to see GCC (both as an entity and as individuals) apply the word of God in all aspects of ministry and life. Andrew’s wife Jocelyn co-manages the children’s ministry and they have three children.
John Garrard has lived in Canberra since 1990 and is involved with most of the ministries of the church. By day and night he works as a graphic designer, web designer and computer technician, as well as a key role with Light Educational Ministries. John and his wife Linda (who is the church office administrator) have four adult children.
David Frogley is a long-serving Canberra bus driver and keeps a keen eye on current affairs and the community. He is married to Jackie (who heads the music ministry of the church) and has three adult children.
Business Council
Andrew Heath has a background in computer programming and brings his technical skills to the team, working with the sound and audiovisual aspects of the church. His well-thought pulpit contributions are always a pleasure to hear, as are his performances on the baritone horn in the Canberra Brass Band.
Daniel Garrard is an engineer who has worked in the private and public sectors. He assists with many of the technical tasks around the church community and has a keen interest in biblical history. He and his wife Jenny have four adult children.
Choqi Hasibuan is a native of Indonesia and has spent considerable time working with the Indonesian Christian Fellowship in Canberra. Choqi has taken on the role of church treasurer, and his creative wife Hanna plays in the music team and produces the church newsletter. Choqi and Hanna have two children.
